Recently I have hit 100 subscribers and I did a shout-out to my 100th subscriber and am still planning to do a giveaway to celebrate it. But it made me think. In the end my goal is to become a partner, be a succesful YouTuber and help as many people as possible. So how am I gonna do this? Well I need all the support I can get from the YouTube community to achieve this goal. So I have set myself a target for this year. I WILL have at least 1000 subscribers by the end of October 2010. No doubt about it. And I am going to work like mad to achieve this far fetched goal. I have already advertised on my new channel background what I am trying to do and since then received 5 more subscriptions. I know I can do this and I will. :D

Ryan is an amazing person who started a company in January 2009 making iPhone apps and at the time he knew nothing about how to do it. Since then he has gained over 13,000 subscribers on YouTube, developed 3 iPhone apps and is just starting to develop a game. His company is called Unique Apps Click here to go to their website. He is truly an amazing guy and has helped me with the descision on what to do next with YouTube. You should really go and check the website out and subscribe on YouTube.

Thanks

I got my iPod touch for my birthday as I was hoping for and I also got a griffin reveal case for it. I will be doing videos about my iPod and tutorials on it so watch out for them.

My MacBook is in Exeter at the moment getting the battery catch fixed as it broke so I have been without it for the last week and I will be for at least another week. So that is why I haven’t had any videos on the mac recently but I hopefully will again soon and hopefully a review on my MacBook.

WOO HOO! My Birthday is coming closer (October 25th) and I decided to make this post to tell you about some of the presents I am hoping to get.

First of all I am dearly hoping for an iPod Touch from my parents. Some of my friends have them and I have wanted one for ages. i can also do a review and unboxing of it.

Secondly from my sister I am hoping for an iPod Touch case which of course will go on the new iPod.

I want a Silver Macbook case for my white Macbook from my Nana to protect it (and it may even look like an aluminium Macbook Pro!).

Earlier to day I decided on having a new Logitech microphone for my videos from my grandad. It’s only £16 and it has around 500 five star reviews!

Thanks for reading and hope that I get all the presents I wish for :D

New Google Caffeine

Recently I uploaded a video about the new Google caffeine. Google caffeine is a new search from Google that will probably eventually take over as the main Google search. The new Google comes up with slightly different results as it focuses more on keywords rather than high PR backlinks. Although the average user won’t notice much difference it could be a big change for web developers like myself. Here is my video that shows the new Google and gives an example of a few changes:

Why Use WordPress On Your Website

WordPress is a company that allows you to create your own blog on their site. But what you may not know is that WordPress is also the leading CMS.
CMS stands for Content Management System. A Content Management System is a application that you can use to control your website. So instead of making your website in Dreamweaver or any other WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) computer application, you make the whole website on the web.
So you may be asking yourself what is the advantage of making my website on the web when I could just make it on my computer with probably more features on the computer. Well the advantage of using a CMS instead of a PC based application is that CMS’s do nearly all the work for you. The only thing you have to do is write and upload the content.
As a lot of webmasters who are reading would know, it would speed up your work by a huge amount without having to make all of those links and check they are working. Which is why WordPress and other CMS’s are becoming so popular, they do all of the work for you including the design.
Using WordPress you get to choose from a wide range of themes for your site, some are boring, some are far too over the top, but whichever theme you choose its sure to make your website look more professional.
So as you can see it is so much easier to use a CMS for your site rather that Dreamweaver. As it is quicker, makes your website look more professional and gives you more time to take care of the main feature of your site; the content.
So I would fully recommend trying WordPress for your site and you will se how much easier it is.

Web Designing Article

The Following article is an article that I wrote for a school essay about Web Designing.

This report is about Web Designing. All web sites on the web have been designed by millions of people all over the world just like you. They start off just as a design and then slowly develope over months into a proper web site.

Web pages are written a special code which Web designers a call web page language. Most Web pages are written in main language which is called HTML. Which stands for hypertext markup language. Others are: PHP, HTM and SHTML, these are only a few but there are loads suited to all different types of Web pages.

If everyone use notepad just to type out the HTML for their sites, it would take ten times as long as how you normally do it. That’s why we use HTML editors. And HTML editor is a computer application that allows you to see what the actual web page would like instead of writing in code. To do some things in Web Designing you need to actually go into the HTML and type it out. That’s why in most HTML editors, there is an HTML mode instead of you having to open it in a text editing program. The most common HTML editors are: Macromedia Dreamweaver, Microsoft FrontPage, Adobe Pagemill and First page 2000 — 2007.

All web sites and Web pages are viewed by the general public in a Web browser. A Web browser is an application that allows the user to view the Internet. When the Internet was first made accessible to the public, the first Web browsers didn’t have many features at all. The Web browsers nowadays had so many features, you could spend a whole morning just exploring them. They also protect your computer from undesirable objects that could harm your computer. The most common Web browsers available are: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozzilla Firefox, Netscape and Opera.

When you make a web site you need to buy a domain name. A domain name is the name goes in the address bar of your Web browser. The domain name of Google is www.Google.com. At the beginning of the address bar it will say HTTP:// you type to domain name after that. On most web sites you’d only to type www.before the domain name but with some it is crucial otherwise the site will not load. There are various web sites where you can buy domain names and they usually cost about £5 to £20 a year but you have to renew them each year.

Once you have designed your web site and bought a domain name you need a space to put it on the Web. This is called a hosting space. You can buy a hosting space from a web host. When you by hosting space and launch a web site at the domain name on it, the site is copied to remote server a remote server in this case is basically a large computer where loads of web sites are stored. You can get free hosting and also hosting that you pay for, but with the free hosting you don’t get all the extras.
